The Office:mac 2011 icons came out of 30 concept designs from Frog’s offices. Frog of course, designed some of the earliest Mac computers back in the 80s

The philosophy behind the twisty ribbon look fits the software suite perfectly and among the top three designs, I think they made the right choice.

There’s a lot of gem to be found in that interview, from his thoughts about Steve Jobs, Apple back then, Apple now, advertising, design, mistakes he made during his time as Apple CEO, and many other things.

We we should teach design early

“Design education typically begins at the college level, but if we wait until then to teach design thinking we are missing critical points in the growth of young minds, whose ability to think creatively is boundless. Teaching high school students to think like designers would help shape the way they look at the world around them and positively affect their future endeavors”

He finally relented after years of persuasion. The store finally looks good. This is the APR at Ratu Plaza.
