Part One this November. Part two next year.
Harry Potter: The Deathly Hallows
I discovered Tumblr in 2008. A bit later than my circle of friends but it happened regardless. Here’s what I thought back then. Since then I’ve been using Tumblr for a whole lot of things but apparently mostly staying true to those thoughts. For a fair while I sent my tweets here, (didn’t realize until much later that that’s one of the ways I could back up my tweets). Tumblr lets me search all the way back to the beginning, unlike Twitter.
And then there’s the period when I synced my personal Posterous posts to this blog. Since abandoning that practice, I’ve been wondering what to do with this. There’s a month or two when I hardly posted anything at all out of uncertainty, I even considered shutting it down but it seemed to cool to do away with. But a couple of weeks ago, I had this thought. Kind of funny how it remains pretty much the same since 2008.
FIFA spokesman Nicolas Maingot said Monday that replaying the incident was “a clear mistake.”
The mistake is not allowing for video replay technology to be used during the match to determine whether questionable goals are valid or not. It’s not like a video replay will slow down the match much anyway, adding 1-2 minute to the game isn’t gonna hurt. Besides, goals are so few in football matches, running a replay will not affect length of games too much.
FIFA is a fucking joke.
You might have seen this video before, but have you seen it on Apple.com?!
iPad + Velcro: Two of Mankind’s greatest inventions, together at last.
The English goal by Frank Lampard that wasn’t. A blind man could probably sense that was goal, ref was an absolute moron. FIFA should recognize video replays for goals, stop acting like it’s 1950.
