When kids met the iPad

Earlier today Apple announced that it has sold 3 million iPads in 80 days. That works out on average to 37,500 per day. The popularity of this device is quite astounding given how it’s only available in less than ten countries. It constantly sells out in most locations. On the other hand, when you see kids play around with the iPad as at the link above, you might understand why it’s done so well.

Wacchen

I’m a massive fan of Instapaper. It’s a service that lets you save articles and read them later on your iOS devices or on your standard computers, with a amazing readability factor. Wacchen is a similar service but for videos. I’ve yet to try it but it seems to have taken the same premise and apply it to video sites.

Apostrophe key in iOS 4 remains misleading

I rarely find myself needing to use quote marks but sometimes when I do I can’t figure out why Apple left them out of the keyboard. Whaddaya know, turns out they’re actually there, just hidden.

All that aside, people will still read Macworld review no matter what order it comes – first, last, middle. Good writing gets read.

Something about this sandwich is appealing. It seems to be calling my name.

Just as I was about to comment on how Gmail’s new compose screen still hasn’t shown up yet, there it was. Good thing I checked it first before saying anything more. Now let’s see if Google Voice is now available internationally and not just for North Americans.

What if you were to go back in time and bring current technologies to 1977. What would they look like back then?

New compose window for Gmail on iPad

Try as I might, I haven’t managed to see this new compose window. Signed out, closed the window, signed back in, still getting the old version. Maybe in a few more hours. I actually don’t have that much problem with  the compose window on Gmail. My primary issue is the inbox which is much too narrow to see the subject title properly whether it’s in landscape or portrait view. Someone at Mountain View needs to fix that. Stat.
