As if the Flash CS4 colour palette could get any worse… the crappy “web safe” colours are not even correct. I’d say I was shocked but really there are so many UI fuckups in that version that nothing surprises me anymore and I haven’t even started on that font menu which is horrendous.
Thanks Aldorr and Tim

Normally I’d take the extra 30 seconds to pixelate someone’s last name and personal email address, but I don’t think someone who would send this email to a stranger about a free web service will mind.
Most of the emails I get are very nice, but occasionally one slips through that makes me question what, exactly, convinced someone that writing and sending it would be productive.
(For whatever it’s worth, here are my browser stats from the month before I started displaying the not-supporting-IE message.)
The story behind the end title sequence of Wall•E
These images are the real ending to the movie. The epilogue, if you will, told across artistic styles that span across the ages

Father and Child
Conversation between a father and his child.
Child: “Dad, is God a man or a woman?”
Father: “hmmm… God is both a man and a woman”
Child: “ So is God black or white?”
Father: “hmmm… God is both black and white”
Son: “I knew it! I knew all along God is Michael Jackson! So this is what Nietsche meant when he said God is dead”
Father: “hmmm… God is both a man and a woman”
Child: “ So is God black or white?”
Father: “hmmm… God is both black and white”
Son: “I knew it! I knew all along God is Michael Jackson! So this is what Nietsche meant when he said God is dead”
Holy rusted metal!
The Case of Omni Hospital vs Prita Mulyasari
I have never before posted a blog entry about this issue simply because I prefer to stay away from serious issues in this blog and there are far better bloggers who are more familiar with the case than I though unfortunately I’ve lost track of them (if you have links to significant ones please post in the comments) but Brett pointed to a recent entry in the development of the case as the mother of two young children was set free.
Rob Baiton highlighted the fact that while it was wrong to have her jailed in the first place, the court that freed her has opened up a legal minefield which if pursued correctly and properly would throw a wrench into nearly every case in which the decision was made based on a pending subsidiary legislation.
I can see how people might misunderstand Rob’s position despite having already said the entire thing was wrong in the first place. The Tangerang district attorney’s office and the district court were clearly wrong in incarcerating her in the first place without proper legal proceedings but the court that freed her used possibly the worst legal basis to let her go and the poor mother would not be free for a while yet.
This has the potential to go the distance.
