The Internet has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Yes, folks, the medium that has brought us icanhascheezburger, FAILblog, MySpace, and 4chan among other things is on the list of candidates to bring home the award that US President Barack Obama won last year.
Of course the internet has been the instrument of peace, there’s no doubt about it. Everyone’s too busy to wage war because they’re all updating their statuses on Facebook and Twitter, and are running around collecting points and badges on Foursquare.
