@fajarembun on Twitter asked this question:
“mas..teman2 di Malang mw buat kaos #indonesiauniten pengen ngasi nmor di belakangnya…boleh ga?”
This is definitely one way to support the Indonesia Unite movement and to spread the word to ignite people into real action.
Naturally, @bolbal allowed this but there is a problem with it. Bolbal T-Shirts are numbered from 1-300 so far. If the Bolbal crew are going ahead with what they’ve been doing while at the same time allowing the people in Malang to continue the numbering from 301, Bolbal will have to coordinate with them to avoid duplication of numbers.
The problem I’m seeing is not with the design but with the duplication of shirts. The design can be the same no matter who makes it.
Okay, for example, the Malang crew starts with 301 and retains the design. Unless Bolbal plans to stop the numbering sequence for their own batch or use a different unique ID system, there will be two 301 t-shirts and so on. Bolbal crew already saw this by asking @fajarembun to start from 301.
Do you see what I see now?
Okay, so you think there’s no problem because @fajarembun and his friends are in Malang and @bolbal is based in jakarta. Well, @glennfredly, @pandji, and a host of others with numbered bolbal T-shirts go around the country quite often.
Okay, so you still think it doesn’t matter.
Up to you.
Lemme repeat, the issue I see is not with the design.
